Want to take action?

We have a whole page of resources, created for World AIDS Day but adaptable to any time of year, for you to use. Check it out here. |
Once we know something is not right, we must take action to change it. After you’ve signed up to join the campaign, take the next step and find out if anyone is meeting in your area. If not, start a group and get people in your community taking action to end the waiting lists for AIDS treatment that are growing every day.
Here are some ideas of things you can do:
- Bring your friends to one of our events, or invite us to come out and speak to a group in your area. Email Akudo to set up an event.
- Hold a demonstration outside your local Democratic Party HQ or Senator or Representative’s office. Invite the media to come cover it. Definitely contact Akudo if you want to do this.
- Find out if your Representative or Senator has any town hall meetings come up, and go and ask a question about what they’re doing to end AIDS drug waiting lists around the world.
- Write a letter to the editor to your local paper, explaining what’s happening, and calling for your Representative and Senators to work to end the waiting lists.
Here's a map of existing groups that are working to end the waiting lists.
